A microchip is a safe way to permanently identify your pet. A needle is used to insert a small electronic chip under the skin between the shoulders. The procedure is similar to a regular vaccine injection. If the pet is lost and brought to any veterinary hospital or humane society, a scanner will detect the microchip and you will be contacted. We recommend this identification system in addition to collar identification.
